RELEX Group has taken part in the 18th international expo SofTool'2007 (Moscow, October 2-5, 2007).
SofTool is the major Russian IT forum. This year, over 250 software vendors have presented their developments at the expo. During the week, thousands of experts developing and implementing new technologies in various fields of economy visited SofTool.
RELEX presented its developments:
DBMS Linter®;
Data Marts Builder NEVOD®;
Automated project management tool “Project Tracking”;
User technical support tool “Ticket Tracking”.
The RELEX exposition centered round the company’s flagship product, DBMS Linter. A lot of changes have apperaed in the system over the year. Linter now supports graphic utilities for MacOS X, PHP 6, the latest versions of PHP 4 and PHP 5, and SNMP V3. The system is now available for Vista, MacOS X/x84, Windows CE 5, Solaris 64bit, RTOS 32. New query optimization algorithms have been developed. Replication support for version 6.1 has been added, and the supported SQL syntax has been extended significantly.
Besides its own products, RELEX presented Linter-based software developed by its partners, for example, the GPS tracking system “Vistar” by “Intera-M”.
The joint offer of RELEX and RedHat in the field of secure solutions was particularly interesting for the visitors to the expo. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 is certified as compliant with Level 4 for absence of non-declared features, which is the highest level among all widely used OSs allowing the developers to create systems with security levels up to 1G. DBMS Linter is certified as compliant with Class 2 data security requirements, the highest among database management systems. Many visitors admitted that the tandem of a secure OS with a secure DBMS would be an excellent basis for creating systems in which data protection is guaranteed.
Representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Tax Service and other government organizations and commercial enterprises visited the RELEX booth at SofTool'2007. Linter has attracted attention of the expo’s participants, and some of them are planning to port their products to the Russian DBMS. Colleges and universities have shown interest to RELEX’ educational program in which the company grants free Linter licenses to universities for using the system in training students.
RELEX thanks all visitors who have shown interest to the company’s developments, and particularly those who have selected Linter as the database server.
