RELEX and SOFT-WEST have become partners, and DBMS Linter will be used in the software complex DOMINO 8 developed by SOFT-WEST.
The architecture of DOMINO 8 makes it possible to support various database management systems and to use their advantages efficiently. Corporate users of DOMINO 8 can build a heterogenious database structure, using a different DBMS at each object, according to their business needs. This is especially helpful for large networks, as it lowers the costs of the system and DBMS licensing for small objects (shops, restaurants, cinemas) while preserving the power of ORACLE in the central office and on big objects.
SOFT-WEST plans to release the Linter support module by the end of 2005. According to the company's business practices, it will first be tested by one or two Moscow companies. For details on testing, please contact the SOFT-WEST commercial service.
