RELEX supported the conference financially. According to the tradition, all major Russian DBMS vendors presented reports. The first day of the conference was devoted to database management systems, the second - to Business Intelligence.
The majority of speakers dwelt on the capabilities of their products’ new versions, some elaborated on the uses and implementations of particular functions. The report by Sergei P. Markin, the leading developer of the Russian DBMS and one of the founders of RELEX, really stood out from the others.
Mr. Markin spoke not only about the Linter capabilities, but also on how they appear and how Linter has come to occupy its niche on the DBMS market. His report “Linter: Technology of Achievement” has caused the greatest number of questions. This proves the interest to the report and to the Russian DBMS. The participants of the conference were interested in many things: from the quality management system implemented in our company to technical solutions applied in Linter, and, in particular, the real-time capabilities of the system and data protection from unauthorized access.
