RELEX Programming School
The first spring RELEX Programming School will be open at the Voronezh State University April 21-25, 2008. The leading developers of RELEX Group will be giving lectures to senior students of Voronezh colleges and universities.
There will be a round table discussion for RELEX representatives, VSU lecturers and students. Its purpose is to define the key knowledge and technologies necessary for students to start a successful career in the IT industry.

How to write gigantic queries without mistakes? “Unprintable” SQL queries in real applications. Null value processing rules. A simple algorithm for writing complicated queries. Query optimization methods for different DBMSs.

How to create an animation film "from scratch"? What do you need to know to develop animation?

Many various DBMSs besides Linter have been developed at RELEX. The lecture focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of some solutions used in Linter and other DBMSs defined by Stonebreaker as “elephants”.
How not to get lost in the “woods”: B-trees, R-trees, M-trees. As it turns out, it is not so difficult. Bit and hash indices make it still easier.
April 25
An application for 1000 users: is it large or small? And what to do if there are thousands of users? The lecture will give you the answers to these and a lot of other questions related to application development using J2EE.
What is the difference between programs for robots and programs for people? Does industrial control system development resemble home theatre develpment? This lecture may become the first step to solving these complicated problems.
