On July 2, 2010, RELEX celebrated the 20th anniversary of its work on the IT market.
To sum up our 20-year work, we can say that RELEX has made history as the first creator of a certified Russian DBMS that is widely used both in Russia and overseas. Over the 20 years, RELEX has gone a long way from a small group of enthusiasts to one of the leaders on the Russian software development market. From the very beginning, DBMS Linter has been the flagship product of RELEX around which the company is being developed. Linter enabled RELEX to enter the overseas market in 1993 and land the first clients in the USA. In the late 1990s, the secure version of Linter was certified and recommended for use in the Ministry of Defense and government organizations of the Russian Federation.
Today DBMS Linter is used in automated systems of any complexity level: from simple applications to highly complex statewide secure information systems, data acquisition and analysis tools, embedded and mobile systems, data synchronization tools and real-time systems. Our cooperation with the Japanese company Brycen allowed us to make one of the Linter versions the de-facto standard for use in embedded systems on the top high-technology market – in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Since 1993, custom software development has become one of the major activities of RELEX Group. Our company has been successful in this field, automating the activities at hundreds of companies. At present, RELEX has customers in Russia, Europe, Asia and America, in various fields of industry and non-manufacturing sphere.
