DBMS Linter Bastion Has Successfully Undergone Inspection Checkup by the 8th Department of the Russian General Staff

RELEX Group reports that DBMS Linter Bastion has successfully undergone inspection checkup by the 8th Department of the Russian General Staff. According to the decision by the Federal Data Security Software Certification Organ, Certificate №1489 of March 10, 2011 is extended for the updated version of DBMS Linter Bastion.

The purpose of the control was to confirm the steadiness of the certified parameters in the updated version of DBMS Linter Bastion. The inspection checkup was conducted by the testing laboratory of Research and Production Association “Echelon, Ltd.”. As a result, documents confirming the compliance of the modified version of DBMS Linter Bastion with the guidelines were submitted to the Federal Data Security Software Certification Organ.

The Federal Certification Organ confirmed the compliance of the modified version of DBMS Linter Bastion with the following documents:

• «Software tools. Protection of information from unauthorized access. Information security criteria» (Russian State Technical Committee, 1992) – Class 3 of data protection from unauthorized access.
• «Protection of information from unauthorized access. Part 1. Information security software. Classification by undeclared capabilities absence control level» (Russian State Technical Committee, 1992) – Level 2 of undeclared capabilities absence control.

Besides, the inspection checkup confirmed the compliance of actual capabilities of DBMS Linter Bastion to those declared in the documentation.

Now RELEX clients using DBMS Linter Bastion will get certified updates with improved technical and tactical characteristics and some optimizations related to elimination of problems detected when using the product.
